Former Leeds United defender Tony Dorigo has posted a picture via his social media account with a number of his former teammates after they gathered at Elland Road to watch the Whites beat Reading at the weekend. Marcelo Bielsa’s side extended their lead over third-placed Fulham to five points after Pablo Hernandez’s decisive goal.

Leeds United were original members of the Premier League when it was formed in 1992, with Dorigo and many of his teammates representing a fondly remembered era, therefore, you can understand why these supporters were thrilled to see some of their former heroes reunited.

What do we think?

The former Leeds star played for the Whites between 1991 and 1997. Leeds United were relegated from the Premier League at the end of the 2003/04 season and haven’t returned to the top flight since, however, they are edging closer towards promotion with each passing week.

In our view, seeing legends around the football club more often than not puts a smile on the faces of the supporters and given Marcelo Bielsa’s side are seemingly on the verge of something special, Leeds United feels like a great place to be at the moment.
