Former Leeds United midfielder Pontus Jansson left the club in July to sign for Brentford in a deal reportedly worth £5.54m (via Transfermarkt.co.uk). The Swedish defender recently posted about another of his former clubs, Malmo, who celebrated their 110th birthday – but his tweet has sparked a response from Whites fans.
Judging by the responses from some of these Leeds fans, they still hold Jansson in high regard despite the fact he now plays for one of their direct rivals, however, they were keen to make their club part of the conversation.
Did Leeds United make a mistake allowing Pontus Jansson to leave?

What do we think?
Malmo may have been Jansson’s first love, but these fans believe he will always have Leeds United in his heart. The 29-year-old made 120 appearances for the club having signed from Serie A club Torino in 2017 for £3.6m.
Jansson has made 24 appearances in the Championship this season for Thomas Frank’s Brentford, who are currently in fourth, six points behind Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United.
