Spurs fans have been reacting to some quotes from Jose Mourinho that were shared by Football.london journalist Alasdair Gold on Twitter.
The Portuguese manager has recently discussed how he wishes that he was preparing for next season rather than having to see out the rest of this campaign, saying: “I would love to be at July 1, I would love to be in pre-season, working with Harry Kane, Sissoko and Sonny. That’s not possible. We have three long months to go in three competitions where we are still [in it]. It’s going to be three long months.”
The 57-year-old looks to be lowering expectations from fans amidst the injuries to Harry Kane, Heung-Min Son and Moussa Sissoko, but his words may not fill fans with confidence that they will be able to push on and finish in the top four spots.

Reaction from Spurs fans to Mourinho’s comments can be seen in the tweets below.
I just don’t understand the negativity. Have a go, pass forward, take risks, play like a team with nothing to lose. I’ve been seeing this in brief flashes in the last few games but usually when it’s too little too late. The tools are there, but instead we get excuses.

What we really need to ask is if Mourinho is the right person? Personally for me, it’s no.

Bottler Jose. He’s ready for a holiday I guess. Motivational muppet. We are still in two cup competitions. We may be weak but players can still fight for pride. Stop bleating. Get on with it !!

Depressing times at the moment. We sacked poch for this negative, excuse making, fossil of a manager. I know everyone is saying give him time but from what we’ve seen this guy has no plan. All our wins are scraped and somewhat lucky. I’m so sad at the state of affairs currently

I want to fast forward to the day he’s sacked!

These Spurs fans clearly aren’t too impressed with Mourinho’s latest comments and support for the Portuguese manager looks to be quickly running out.
What do we think?
Although Spurs fans may not be too happy with the style of football, Mourinho has got the North London club in with a chance of finishing in the top four and has kept them in both the FA Cup and Champions League.
