Former Leeds United defender Danny Mills has criticised Marcelo Bielsa for having “no plan B” and for refusing to select his new signings. Speaking on TalkSPORT’s breakfast show, the former right-back pulled no punches when sharing his thoughts on how things are currently going at Elland Road.
The Whites brought in Jean-Kevin Augustin from RB Leipzig and Ian Poveda from Manchester City but neither has featured in the Championship as yet. Mills played 131 times for the Yorkshire club and represented them in the UEFA Champions League. But how have the former England defender’s comments gone down with the Leeds faithful?
Do you trust in Bielsa's methods?
Yes
No
Bielsa don’t do things for the fans. He does things his way. And you know what ? He knows best. Plus he does this with all the new players

Bielsas plan B is do plan A better. Anything else goes against the trust he’s built up with his team and absolute belief he has in his own methods. The same things that have got us to where we are at the minute.

Give the fans a lift? I think it will more likely give them two more things to moan about on here.
We, as fans, can only get behind the team and urge them on to win every game.. as we do week in week out. We want to win and don’t like our team losing.. only natural yes?

However, there were some who agreed with the 42-year-old’s assessment.
No Plan B.. Been saying it for months.. HTers can hate but the way we play is not enough at the moment #lufc

What do we think?
Marcelo Bielsa’s methods may seem unorthodox to some, but Leeds United appear to have progressed significantly under his leadership. As a coach, he has a very clear vision of how he wants his team to play and so when anybody arrives, it’s going to take some time for them to get up to speed.
The 64-year-old’s refusal to compromise his values is one of the main reasons he is so well-respected but in this case, it could prove to be his undoing as both Nottingham Forest and Fulham close in on the automatic promotion places.
