Leeds United defeated Middlesbrough at the Riverside on Wednesday night to maintain their five-point lead over Fulham in third place. The promotion hopefuls broke the deadlock on the stroke of half time when Mateusz Klich’s strike found the back of the net.
The Whites managed to keep a clean sheet and as a result, made the trip back to Yorkshire with all three points. Speaking to the media after the game, Marcelo Bielsa said his team “protected the result” (as per BBC Sport).
Were you surprised to see Bielsa so animated?
Yes
No
These supporters reacted to Bielsa being animated on the touchline as he celebrated what proved to be the winner.
Such a transformation in how animated he is, he *really* wants this

He deserves this promotion for everything he’s given for the club, the passion he’s gave back to the fans and players, the pride he’s restored in the club, the hope he’s given everyone #MOT

What do we think?
There are just 11 games remaining in the Championship season and having missed out last season at the play-off stage, Bielsa will surely be desperate to finish the job he started when he arrived in Yorkshire back in 2018. In our view, you can question his methods, his tactics and at times his conduct, but you should never question the 64-year-old’s passion for the game.
