Whether you are looking to pass judgement on Liverpool’s performances as a football team or wanting to study their finances with a fine tooth comb, in our opinion, all you will find are the results of some exemplary management.
The Anfield giants have announced record-breaking revenues having confirmed pre-tax profits of £42m and have seen their turnover increase by 17% (via The Athletic). Following the news that Liverpool are smashing records off the field as well as on it, some of these supporters have been quick to point out what they believe to be an inaccuracy in Manchester City’s figures.
Should Manchester City be investigated further and be sanctioned by the Premier League as well as UEFA?

You mean man city’s adjusted revenue

You just wonder how city can generate that much especially being poor in the champions league #Backdoor

When you see City’s players on the pitch, bench, squad & add up all their transfer fees to city & also their wages, it’s impossible City’s gate & turnover cover this, especially with City are not even famous. We can all see what’s going on here with their sponsorship questionable

How much more money did City’s owners or sponsors “contribute” to City’s players and staff wages?

Beautifully done FSG. Can’t fault the way they are handling the club. Wonderful custodians

So if Liverpool and Man City are almost identical in terms of wages and turnover…where are Man City getting that extra money to out spend Liverpool at the rate they’re currently doing? ?

What do we think?
Manchester City have been banned from the UEFA Champions League for two seasons after they were found to have seriously misled European football’s governing body and broken financial fair play rules. Therefore, it’s not just these Liverpool fans who suspect the current Premier League champions of any wrongdoing.
