Leeds United take on Bristol City at Elland Road on Saturday fresh off the back of a very respectable draw at the home of fellow promotion hopefuls Brentford. Marcelo Bielsa’s side will be looking to return to winning ways with Scott Parker’s Fulham breathing down their necks in third.
Things are hotting up in the race for promotion with just six points separating Leeds in second and Bristol City in seventh position following their draw in West London. It’s been announced that the referee for the weekend’s crucial clash will be Tim Robinson – an official the supporters remember for all the wrong reasons.
Should Leeds United be concerned by who the official is at the weekend?
Yes
No
Some fans discussed Robinson’s appointment on Twitter and here’s what they had to say.
Let’s hope he remembers he owes us one.

Ridiculous. After a decision like that he shouldn’t be allowed to ref us again in the same season imo

One fan even suggested a further stadium ban for Victor Orta as he recently received a one-game ban after the Millwall tunnel incident.
A further stadium ban for Orta incoming

The penalty that since has been examined by EFL and deemed a mistake on the refs part. Let’s say, he owes us one on Saturday. Hopefully he remembers.

What do we think?
This particular official has taken charge of 18 Championship fixtures so far this season as well as the Premier League fixture between Burnley and Newcastle United at Turf Moor back in December. Ahead of this weekend, Robinson has officiated 13 Leeds games to date, of which the Whites have won five, lost five and drawn three.
Although the fans are discussing the appointment passionately, you have to assume Marcelo Bielsa will be fully focused on improving his side, with the identity of the man in the middle being irrelevant as preparations intensify.
