Leeds United left the Riverside on Wednesday night with all three points, but despite the positive result, Patrick Bamford’s miss has been one of the major post-match talking points. The 26-year-old failed to turn in Luke Ayling’s cut-back from approximately three yards out and some of the club’s supporters can’t seem to get over it.
Despite having scored just two goals in his last 11 Championship appearances, Bamford remains a key member of Marcelo Bielsa’s team having been named in the starting eleven 94% of the time.

What do we think?
Patrick Bamford has scored 12 league goals this season, which is by no means a disaster. In addition to that, the fact he’s clearly seen as an important member of the team based on Marcelo Bielsa’s reluctance to leave him out makes the constant criticism of the former Middlesbrough forward seem somewhat harsh.
