A lot of Leeds United fans are now convinced that Marcelo Bielsa’s stubbornness will cost them promotion as he discussed the role of Patrick Bamford and Jean-Kevin Augustin.
The Argentine believes that once Augustin can get up to 70% of his capabilities, then he will play regularly; however, he believes that if the 22-year-old is only functioning at 50%, then he cannot be involved.
Could Bielsa cost the Whites promotion?
Yes, he has to change something
No, he will sort it out
This seems to indicate that Augustin, who is yet to appear for the Whites, is closer to the 50% mark then he is to the 70% mark.
Bielsa then moved to Bamford and pointed out that it is very easy to criticise him because he misses chances, but he also has 12 goals and that no one should under-estimate him.
A tweet with Bielsa’s quote from Phil Hay gathered a lot of responses from angry Leeds fans who feel this stubbornness will cost them promotion.
Bielsa: "If Augustin gets to 70 per cent of his skills, it is enough for him to play here. If he can only use 50 per cent of his skills then it is not enough. It's very easy to criticise Bamford because he misses chances but he scored 12 times. We shouldn't under-estimate him."

I’m actually concerned now about MB’s judgement.

Bielsa and his stubbornness will cost Leeds again.

Bielsa really is Leeds. I both hate and love him all at the same time ?

It’s ironic, man who could get us promoted won’t get us promoted due to this thinking

Bielsa and Bamford go together, out of the top two by March. No team can win without scoring goals. Unless JKA is given 15 mins a game to do the scoring job.

This is the worlds best coach. Laughable nonsense. ?

What do we think?
Bamford is Leeds’ top scorer, and though he has missed 20 ‘big chances’ this season, he needs help from his teammates.
Augustin sounds like he is not fully fit, which is a shame, but hopefully, he can still be used as a substitute while he tries to reach that 70% mark that Bielsa mentioned.
It is understandable why some fans are annoyed, but Bielsa has strict standards, and Augustin must hit those before he can play.
