A lot of Leeds United fans are not happy with Marcelo Bielsa’s comments about Jean-Kevin Augustin.
Speaking at his regular press conference, the Argentine launched an impassioned defence of the way he treats players and talked at length about the new striker signed on loan from RB Leipzig till the end of the season.
Will Augustin become the new Izzy Brown for Leeds?
Yes, Bielsa is not going to use him
No, he will be used
Bielsa spoke about Augustin but insisted that he sees great quality in the 22-year-old but that because he has only played three full matches in the past eight months, it is going to take time for Augustin to adapt.
However, this has not gone down well with many Whites fans who think that the Frenchman is going to end up as Izzy Brown version two.
Bielsa on Augustin's condition and when he might be involved. Promises a long answer: "Augustin in a player who can make a lot of impact. He has a lot of skills. You realise that from how much he cost and the teams he played for. But in the last 8 months he played 3 full matches"

So begs the question…..why sign him? As we know Bielsa is thorough so surely he would have known his game time and condition. This smacks of Izzy Brown MKII all over if and because he isn’t in great shape he’s more susceptible to injuries especially if he’s pushing himself

Other Leeds supporters don’t see the point of signing Augustin if he isn’t fit.
So why bring him in ????? we needed someone to come in and give us options straight away not leave us with just bamford up top for weeks

Absolutely ridiculous that Orta & Radz have brought in a player that isn’t first team ready, at a time when we desperately need a fit and firing striker to come into the side immediately to support/replace PB.

Last season Leeds loaned Brown from Chelsea, and he made just two appearances as he was not considered fit enough for much of the season after recovering from an ACL injury.
Augustin arrives with a big reputation and the hopes of a city on his shoulders; however, judging by Bielsa’s comments, it is unclear when he will actually be in a position to start a match.
