A lot of Leeds United fans disagreed with Marcelo Bielsa’s comments on Jean-Kevin Augustin.
The Whites completed the signing of the Frenchman on a season-long loan with an option to buy last Monday, and he watched from the stands as the Whites beat Millwall 3-2.
Did Bielsa make the right decision on Augustin?
Yes, give him time
No, should have been on the bench
However, he then also watched from the stands on Saturday as Leeds fell to a 1-0 defeat to Wigan Athletic.
After the match, the Argentine insisted that Augustin will not play for the Whites until he understands the league and how Leeds play.
This did not go down well on Twitter with many Whites fans who think Bielsa got this one wrong.
Bielsa said he left out Augustin because Augustin needs to get up to speed with how Leeds play and he doesn't want to expose Augustin to the Championship and the crowd until he understands how Leeds play. Bielsa thinks he's doing right by him. #LUFC

What a load of rubbish. No excuse leaving him out. A 10% Augustin is better then a 100% bamford

He’s wrong

Hes wrong. Simple as that.

Sorry Marcelo. Can’t agree. If he’s on the bench it forces Bamford to start playing better

Absolute fool.

We haven’t got time for that!! ?

Sounding a bit like Izzy Brown all over again

Sorry but he’s wrong. You don’t need to understand who we play or what the crowd is like when you’re 1-0 down with 15 to go. Everyone knows what he needs to do

Sorry disagree put him on the bench as a plan b

What do we think?
The Whites had 19 shots and five shots on target as well as flinging in 41 crosses; however, they could not break Wigan down, and it seems odd that a player like Augustin was not even on the bench.
If he were, then the Whites might have been able to change the game.
Augustin, who is valued at £12.6m by Transfermarkt, is a good dribbler and has a lethal right foot. He could have provided that extra goal threat.
Instead, though, he was left to watch, and some Leeds fans must be wondering when they will see the new man.
