Some Celtic fans have been left unhappy about the pitch in the club’s 4-1 win over Hamilton in the Premiership on Sunday.
The Hoops picked up an impressive 4-1 win at the end of the day after going 1-0 behind within the first 30 minutes of the game. But the match saw Odsonne Edouard grab a brace, while James Forrest and Christopher Jullien also got a goal each for themselves to complete the comeback despite concerns over the surface.
Do plastic pitches have a place in Scottish football?
Never, they shouldn't exist
Some clubs can have it
Despite the win, some Hoops fans made it clear that they weren’t happy about the plastic pitch the players were playing on – with some fans not impressed even before the match kicked off.
There is when it’s a plastic pitch. Big difference and no manager likes these pitches

Mate, they should not be allowed in top flight football. No need for a plastic pitch in our league.

The boys have another away game and they travel to Hamilton tomorrow night always a potential banana skin on those shocking plastic pitches. Game will be live on in 80 proof from 11.30pm.

The last thing I need is one of those drab away performances on a plastic pitch. Make me forget about my hangover, please, Celtic. Ta

It’s time to get rid of these plastic pitches..Even the Hamilton players hate playing on the surface..Football is suppose to be a entertainment sport..Enough is Enough

So far this season, Celtic have scored the highest number of goals in the Premiership. They have found the back of the net 68 times in the division – 11 times more than second-placed Rangers.
Neil Lennon’s men have the second-best defensive record in the league. They have let in 15 goals in total, only behind Rangers, who have let in only 13 goals in the whole season – and their resounding victory at the weekend suggests they handled any worries about the pitch rather well.
What do we think?
While a plastic pitch is never a help, it is a challenge that even other clubs have to go through at Hamilton. Fans perhaps need to get on with it and accept it.
