A lot of Leeds United fans have responded to a tweet from Adam Pope with an audio link to Marcelo Bielsa’s press conference.
The Argentine was talking about the FA’s impending decision on Kiko Casilla (0:12) and insisted that Illan Meslier is the backup option if the Spaniard can’t play. (0:33)
Is Meslier an adequate replacement for Casilla?
Yes
No
Bielsa said that the 19-year-old was at the level expected (0:41) and will be ready to step in should Casilla become unavailable. (0:33)
However, these Leeds fans are more concerned about the result of Casilla’s hearing.
?? "He's at the level expected"
Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa says goalkeeper Illan Meslier is ready to make his league debut if Kiko Casilla is suspended by the FA. #lufc

There Shouldn’t even be a conversation about Meslier being ready or not. He may be ready but FA/EFL have dragged their feet with this decision and probably affected the team’s performance
Now it’s time for FA/EFL to be investigated by TAS/CAS for bringing the game into disrepute

Looks like they will give Kiko verdict Friday to cause as much damage they can

What do we think?
Meslier was very impressive on his debut as he earned himself an 8/10 rating from the Yorkshire Evening Post in a narrow 1-0 loss to Arsenal in the FA Cup.
He also showed how passionate he was during the Whites’ 3-2 win over Millwall as he leapt from the bench after each Leeds goal as they rescued the game from 2-0 down.
If Casilla is banned, Meslier’s debut performance and Bielsa’s words suggest that he will indeed be ready to step in.
