A lot of Leeds United fans are not happy with news relayed by Phil Hay on Adam Forshaw.
The 28-year-old will travel to the United States to finally undergo surgery on his hip injury that has plagued him all season.
Forshaw was trying to overcome this problem without having surgery, but it seems that he will now have to give up on that dream, and his season is over.
Have Leeds managed this situation badly?
Yes, should have sent him for surgery ages ago
No, they hoped he would get better
However, it is the fact that he was carrying this injury from pre-season which has annoyed these Whites fans.
Update on Adam Forshaw – is due to undergo surgery on a hip injury in Colorado tomorrow. Operation will end his season. Has been carrying the injury since Leeds' pre-season game at Cagliari and was trying to overcome it without surgery. #LUFC

“A transfer window” being singular… we had two opportunities. Completely embarrassing from the club to be honest

We should have had more common sense and prepared for this in the January window

Crazy not to make this decision, and sign a midfielder, before the transfer window closes. #LUFC

Ridiculous how they’ve tried to sort it without an operation, negligence again.

Funny they announce this now and not in January when we would would have asked for a replacement. Poor management

Coicendence that it’s been announced in Feb? Avoided pressure to sign a replacement in the window. A players we’ve missed massively……

They’ve managed this injury so badly and it’s cost us on the pitch. Serious questions should be asked of medical dept.

What do we think?
The fact that Forshaw has had this problem since before the season started and the club did not send him for surgery earlier or find a replacement does seem like a mistake.
Forshaw has missed 23 league games since he played 45 minutes against Charlton Athletic in September.
The Whites, overall, have coped without him, but in the four games that Kalvin Phillips recently missed through suspension, Leeds have won two and lost two.
On these occasions, it could have been helpful to have someone who could fill in, and if the Whites knew Forshaw had this injury, then they probably should have bought someone either in the summer or in January.
