These Leeds United fans loved world-renowned manager Pep Guardiola’s comments about Leeds and Marcelo Bielsa after Ian Poveda joined the Peacocks.
Leeds announced the signing of Poveda on 24th January, however, when Manchester City manager Guardiola was asked why he let the youngster leave, the Spaniard stated “Leeds United is an incredible challenge, to be training for one of the best or maybe the best manager in the world.”
The Peacocks fans were loving the praise from such a great manager like Pep, especially as he stated that Marcelo Bielsa is one of the best managers in the world.

With Leeds playing against Millwall on 28th January, it’ll be interesting to see if Poveda will make his debut against the Lions.
What Do We Think?
It’s clear to see that Guardiola has a lot of respect for Bielsa, which could be very interesting in the future as maybe Leeds United and Manchester City could form a very healthy relationship when it comes to player transfers, especially considering they appear to have had some success in the past with Jack Harrison – a player they have an option to purchase permanently.
