Some Celtic fans have reacted to the club’s interest in signing Bristol City winger Niclas Eliasson in the ongoing January transfer window.
MailSport claim (via Daily Record) that Celtic are weighing up a move to sign Eliasson this month. The report goes onto state that Lazio are also interested in signing the winger and La Liga side Villarreal are also firmly in the race for him.
Should Celtic sign Eliasson?
He's not worth it
Yes, would add some depth
A Hoops-related page called CelticBible relayed this piece of news and many Celtic fans reacted to it. Their reaction to the story was rather indifferent.

He plays like 2016/17 Sinclair, minus all goals.

2nd day in a row I’ve heard a Celtic rumour being reported by an Italian website extremely unconvincing sources. Wouldn’t look too much into this

Eliasson is currently only 24 and the Swede has been a regular for Bristol in the Championship this season, having made 24 appearances so far. He has managed to rack up a tally of three goals and a total of ten assists for the club.
Last season, the winger had made 36 appearances in all competitions for the club. He got three goals and a total of seven assists as well.
Bristol signed Eliasson in the summer of 2017 from IFK Norrkoping for a fee of £1.8million. Since then, he has made 80 appearances in all competitions for the club, scoring seven times and picking up 18 assists.
What do we think?
Eliasson’s numbers aren’t too promising but his versatility on either flank will add some depth in the current Hoops side. If the club can sign him on a cheap fee, he will be a sensible move for the Parkhead side.
