A lot of Leeds United fans are responding to the news that their club has signed Elia Caprile.
The 18-year-old goalkeeper has joined from Chievo Verona for an undisclosed fee and has signed a deal until the summer of 2023.
Are you pleased with this signing for Leeds?
Yes
No
The Whites’ official website describes Caprile as “a highly rated prospect.”
However, many Leeds fans are rather underwhelmed with this signing and are demanding that the club bring in a striker.

So the transfer embargo is over. We finally have somebody through the door. However can somebody please tell Victor Orta he’s got the white board upside down, it’s a striker we need not a keeper. ?

What do we think?
Caprile is a young lad from Italy, and though some fans have welcomed his arrival, too many have responded negatively to the 18-year-old’s move.
It is not his fault the club have not signed a striker.
This move for Caprile is important as it will allow him to play for one of the biggest clubs in England.
He should be able to provide healthy competition to both Kiko Casilla and Illan Meslier.
If the FA eventually ban Casilla for using racist language, then he could find himself on the bench as a backup to Meslier.
Leeds hope that this will be the first of three signings as they look to bring in a winger and a forward.
