A lot of Leeds United fans have reacted to Phil Hay’s latest tweet.
The FA have confirmed that they have charged both Victor Orta and James Mooney for misconduct after an incident with the referee on Tuesday night.
The incidents are said to have happened at half-time of the Whites’ 3-2 win over Millwall.
Were Orta and Mooney correct to confront the referee?
Yes, as he made some awful decisions
No, it has nothing to do with them
Gary Rowett hinted at an incident in his post-match press conference, and now it has been revealed.
Darren England made a couple of controversial decisions that irritated Mooney and Orta, and it looks like their frustration boiled over.
And, here’s what these Leeds fans had to say:
Leeds United director of football Victor Orta and head of communications James Mooney charged by the FA with misconduct relating to separate incidents involving referee Darren England at half-time on Tuesday night. Both have accepted the charges. #LUFC

Deserved every bit of stick he got for that shambolic performance. #lufc

Get innnnnn Victor. Has Darren England been charged with impersonating a referee? #lufc

Yet the ref walks away with no punishment for doing one of the worst jobs I and many have seen ?

Absolutely wouldn’t want to condone this sort thing but … well done Victor. These bizarre refs are not being held to account and Tuesday was embarrassing.

Well in Orta lad! Let im av it

I think in light of these allegations, the only suitable punishment is that Orta should be sacked.
Not too fussed about the other chap, he doesn’t sign players.— Richard Harvey (@dickyyorkshire) January 31, 2020
@efl are a joke…..yes they were wrong. But the refereeing performance by England was scandalous. Coupled with the decisions at Millwall,Fulham and QPR goal, plus the none penalties at QPR and Millwall it feels like an agenda against us.

Sounds a bit like the reaction from Orta against Brentford last season. Glad to see the passion tbh.

What do we think?
England made two very odd decisions during the first half that angered a lot of Leeds fans.
One was a clear corner that was missed by England. Stuart Dallas hit a shot that was destined for the net, but it was tipped away by Bartosz Bilakowski; however, the referee gave a goal kick.
The second incident led to the Lions’ second goal England and his assistants failed to spot the ball go out of play (1:02) before Jon Dadi Bodvarsson was brought down in the box by Ezgjan Alioski. (1:07)
Clearly, Orta and Mooney lost their cool and will be rightly punished, but to be fair, the decisions made by England were baffling.
