Liverpool fans on Twitter have been reacting to the latest club post on Bob Paisley’s statue unveiling at Anfield. 

This comes after the official Liverpool Twitter account shared a post on their page revealing the statue being unveiled outside their stadium.

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were delighted with this latest announcement from the club.

During his managerial career at the Merseyside club, Paisley took charge of 535 games, winning 308, drawing 131 and losing just 96 (LFC). The bronze statue shows Paisley carrying former Liverpool player Emlyn Hughes after the player sustained an injury back in 1968 (BBC). Now that this iconic moment in the club’s history has been immortalised outside Anfield, many fans have been sharing their thoughts on Twitter.

What do we think?

With Paisley being one of Liverpool’s true club legends, its only right that he should be honoured with a statue outside Anfield. It’s a great gesture from the club that has undoubtedly made a lot of Liverpool fans very happy.
