A lot of Leeds United fans have lauded the performance of Barry Bannan during the Whites’ 2-0 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday.
Was Bannan the best player on the pitch?
Yes, he ran the show
No, he was good but others were better
Phil Hay put a tweet out praising the 30-year-old, and many Leeds fans responded with positive words for Bannan.
From a neutral perspective, quality pass from Bannan. Thought he ran it second half https://t.co/9TwmvHCNwT

Ran the show. Nhuiu coming on changed it as well. Told my mate he was a handful @1989pre

From the South Stand Bannan was literally everywhere. He’d make a tackle at left back and then appear in central midfield. Was fantastic yesterday for them.

Best player on the pitch by a mile yesterday Phil. Finest individual performance I’ve seen at ER in a long time. Relentless.

Can’t we try get him while Forshaw is struggling?

What do we think?
The Scottish international, who is valued at £2.7m by Transfermarkt, played an integral part in the Owls’ second goal as he chipped a delightful ball through for Adam Reach, who squared the ball to Atdhe Nuhiu and he fired home.
Bannan was up against Kalvin Phillips but battled well and put in a solid performance as Sheffield Wednesday moved up to sixth with a win at Elland Road.
The Owls in both games with the Whites managed to keep two clean sheets and should see this as an opportunity to push on for promotion.
Bannan received a 7.54 rating from WhoScored, and though he didn’t score or provide an assist, he was crucial to the win and was rightly praised by both Phil Hay and some Leeds fans.
