These Leeds United fans were angry with Mateusz Klich after his poor performance against Preston on Boxing Day.
Mateusz Klich finished the match with a WhoScored rating of 6/10, that’s not completely awful, but could definitely be considered a poor showing from the Polish midfielder. Despite the criticism from the fans, Klich did manage to maintain an impressive pass success rate of 80%.
Here’s what the United fans had to say about Klich’s performance:
We were atrocious in midfield yesterday klich needs a rest out this team

Klich took too long on before we conceded the first goal #lufc

Unpopular opinion:
Klich is a great guy and a decent player, but he’s the weak link this season; he isn’t defensively great nor offensively/creatively great +is far too inconsistent and quiet at times. We need a new creative midfielder in January if we want automatics. #LUFC pic.twitter.com/xvMrWbHsdY

Not a fan of Klich. PNE’s goal last night summed him up. Absolute snail on the ball.

I’m a big fan of Klich. But he was awful yesterday.

The similarities to last season are alarming so many players playing with zero energy Klich BAMFORD and Cooper were a disgrace tonight and watching Jansson starring is appalling

Should Mateusz Klich start the next match?
Yes
No
The Polish midfielder has played 24 games in the Championship this season, adding up to a very impressive total of 2041 minutes of game time in the league, which is perhaps why fans have started to call for Marcelo Bielsa to rest the international moving forward.
Yeah I think Klich looking very tired and also Phillips looking little tired too! Need some quality to slot in when needed!

Agree there said that for a while only one I’d think of changing is klich out for shack when he gets back

What Do We Think?
It is clear Bielsa values Klich very highly, considering the insane amount of minutes the Polish midfielder has already played in the league so far this season. It would be very surprising to see Klich dropped, but perhaps it’s for the 29-year-old’s own good, as all this game time could lead to injuries later on in the season.
