Leeds United fans have been responding on Twitter to the club’s latest post on their Boxing Day clash with Preston North End.
This comes after the official Leeds Twitter account shared a post on their page revealing that more tickets have become available to buy for fans after Preston have failed to sell all of their allocated tickets for the clash.
Are you surprised Preston have not sold out their tickets?
Yes
No
This post then led to a number of Leeds fans replying with their thoughts on this news.
Here’s a sample of Leeds fans slamming Preston for their inability to sell tickets for their upcoming match:

The Yorkshire club stated on their official website that home fans will “be given access to purchase seats in the West Stand lower away section” for their Boxing Day evening match with Preston. The website also said this decision was made due to the “huge demand” from home supporters in the past year (LUFC). This statement did not stop some Leeds fans from blaming Preston for not selling out their allocated tickets.
Are they not top 6? Poor from them

Can’t sell 3000 tickets less than an hour down the road on Boxing Day

How well do Preston have to be doing for their fans to show their support? I’ve paid similar prices to go watch Leeds at numerous away grounds this season. Leeds would fill their away allocation no matter what the price. It’s often impossible to obtain a ticket due to demand.

What do we think?
It’s a shame to see that Preston have not sold out their allocated tickets for the match at Elland Road. Given that both teams are in the top three of the Championship table, and that they are fairly close together geographically, it does come as quite a surprise. Leeds have done the smart thing by allowing others without a ticket to get a chance to go to the match instead of allowing there to be empty seats in the stadium.
