A lot of Leeds United fans are worried about a stat that has revealed that the Whites have only ever won once on the 10th of December – while they have drawn eight and lost the other three.
The one win came in 1955 when they beat Blackburn Rovers 3-2.
Will Leeds end this poor record on the 10th of December?
Yes, Leeds will have too much for Hull
No, Hull will get something from the game
This latest work by lufcstats has concerned some Leeds supporters who are now worried about the match tonight against Hull City.
‘Leeds really don’t like December 10 in years gone by, winning 1 of only 12 fixtures played on this date, a 3-2 win at Blackburn in 1955, they’ve drawn 8 and lost the other 3 and also had a game called off at home to Swansea in 1983!’
By the way that is not a nice statistic to wake upto ?

Do not show that stat to the players !!

Other Whites fans, though, see this as the perfect opportunity to break this poor record.
So as a date can’t have any impact on a result (trying to live without any superstition this season) the laws of probability say we are due a few wins, starting tonight ?

About time we put that statistic for games played on 10th Dec right then #lufc #MOT

Tbf negative stats are usually the ones we overcome. Knowing we’d never lost on this date would be more worrying.

Arsenal hadn’t won from losing at HT in the league for EIGHT YEARS until last night – these records are there to be broken ?

What do we think?
This is some good work by lufcstats, and it has worried a few Leeds fans, but of course, these sorts of statistics exist to be broken.
Hull have Jarrod Bowen, who is arguably the best player in the Championship, and has 15 goals and four assists this season.
However, the return of Kalvin Phillips will allow Ben White to move back into the centre of defence and should make the Whites more solid.
They are on a fantastic run at the moment, having won six-in-a-row, but West Bromwich Albion are keeping up with them, making it an exciting battle at the top of the league.
However, the most important thing for Leeds is the gap from them to third, and that currently is eight points a win tonight could take that to 11, and it might start to make some Whites fans begin to dream of a return to the Premier League.
Before all that, though, they must overcome their inability to win on the 10th of December.
