Jenkins recently featured in Leeds U23’s 2-0 win over Barnsley U23’s, sadly the 18-year-old failed to make contributions by way of goals or assists.

What Do We Think?
It’s good to see that Leeds are willing to issue long term contracts to academy players who are showing promise. However, the next challenge for Jenkins is now to try and break into the first team, but at just 18-years-old, he clearly has a lot of time to achieve this. Indeed, Marcelo Bielsa is a manager that has helped bring through a number of academy graduates since being at Elland Road, so perhaps Jenkins will get his chance sooner rather than later.
