Leeds United U23’s were on the receiving end of a rather embarrassing 7-1 defeat when facing Derby County in the Premier League Cup.
Josh Galloway managed to score one meaningless goal in the 90th minute for Leeds. Derby dominated in the first half, making it 4-0 before half-time, they then went on to score a further three in the last 45 minutes. Leif Davis’ only contribution was getting booked; the 19-year-old recently signed a new three-and-a-half-year deal with the Peacocks.

As you can see the fan reaction is pretty mixed, obviously these are all players who are still developing, so no fan should be overly concerned with any poor performances.
So Derby are focusing on the PL Cup this season instead of the actual league? Makes sense now #lufc

What Do We Think?
Sometimes results like this can be good for youth players, it should hopefully give them some experience of having to bounce back from a bad result. We are pretty sure the fans can take this loss on the chin, maybe Davis not having a great game could be more worrying to them more than anything.
