Leeds United midfielder Ezgjan Alioski shared a behind-the-scenes video of his workout regime and it prompted teammate Kemar Roofe to send him a message.

The 27-year-old, who missed the final few games of the season due to injury, took to his personal Instagram to show he was back in the gym and loving being back at work.

“Recovery finished. Feels great to be back at work, #lufc #mot @fairplayagency,” wrote Alioski.

While many Leeds fans were likely focusing on the fact that Alioski was back at work, Roofe focused on the equipment the midfielder was using and posted a three-word message based on that.

“Nice kit bro,” wrote Roofe via his Instagram account.

OPINION

While some were surprised to see Alioski already back in the gym hard at work, in a bizarre Rocky-esque workout video, it didn’t seem to faze Roofe. The Leeds attacker didn’t even reference the 27-year-old being able to workout again but just wanted to compliment the kit. While it seems like a harmless interaction, maybe reading between the lines, it shows how confident Roofe was about Alioski getting back to fitness sooner rather than later. The midfielder, who played a lot of games at left-back in his 2018/19 campaign, was a noticeable absentee for Marcelo Bielsa’s side in their play-off clashes against Derby, and who knows if he was fit; it may be Leeds that were set to play in the play-off final on Monday. However that isn’t the case, and the 27-year-old has to just focus on getting back to 100% in order to start his 2019/20 campaign in the best possible fashion.
