Some Leeds United fans fired back at Kevin Davies after he claimed that he would rather see Sheffield United in the Premier League than Marcelo Bielsa’s side as they were the bigger club. It was unclear whether the pundit, who has been seen on Sky Sports, was serious about the claim he made via his personal Twitter account as using a happy face emoji weakened his point, but it was still enough to get some Whites fans reacting. One fan claimed that Davies was an average player at best, while another Leeds supporter took a different approach by listing every category they thought their club beat the Blades in. With Sheffield United and Leeds locked in an intense race to win promotion, it’s no surprise that pundits are coming out the wood work to compare the two. It was clear to see Davies was trying to get a rise out of Leeds fans and while some took the bait, others rose above it. At the end of the day if the Whites beat the Blades to automatic promotion this season, maybe then Davies will be forced to revisit his odd claim.
