OPINION
Jack Clarke won’t be reinstated into the Leeds squad for tonight’s Championship clash against Reading – and fans are disappointed. The brilliant young attacker has missed the last month after falling ill on the bench against Middlesbrough, requiring hospital attention before being given a few weeks off from training. He returned to Thorp Arch last week and has had over a week of training, but Marcelo Bielsa revealed at his media conference on Monday, as quoted by Yorkshire Evening Post correspondent Phil Hay, that he will name an unchanged line-up and bench for the Madejski Stadium fixture as United look to continue their automatic promotion march. That means no place in the matchday 18 for teenager Clarke, who made such an impact with his pace and dazzling feet when fast-tracked into the senior side in the autumn. Whites are hopeful Clarke can be back for the Yorkshire derby against automatic promotion rivals Sheffield United on Saturday, with one pointing out how the club have been “absolutely crippled by injuries this year”.

Aye, we’ve been absolutely crippled with injuries this year too, not sure if it’s the training or if we’ve been unlucky either way, the right people are getting fit at the right time
