OPINION

It’s fair to say Ian ‘the Moose’ Abrahams is not the favourite journalist among the Leeds United fanbase. The broadcaster enraged an entire support earlier this season when he claimed Marcelo Bielsa’s nationality means it would not be in the best interests of English football for Leeds to be promoted back to the Premier League. The Moose is renowned for posing with members of the footballing fraternity and then uploading them on to his Twitter account. He was caught red-handed at Ashton Gate on Saturday afternoon ahead of Leeds’ Championship clash against Bristol City as he grabbed Jack Harrison before kick-off for a selfie that he then immediately tweeted.

Yorkshire post photographer Jonathan Gawthorpe then uploaded a more long-distance shot that showed the Moose in action, accompanied by the lightly mocking comment, ‘My good friend Jack Harrison’. Leeds fans responded en masse with a mixture of angry, hilarious and caustic comments that are certainly worth a read.
