Leeds United failed in their extensive bid to sign Daniel James in January, as Swansea City pulled up the drawbridge in the final hours of deadline day just when both clubs appeared to have struck a deal. But reports that Leeds are still keeping close tabs on the winger ahead of the summer window means the player remains of great interest to Whites. They tuned in to watch Swansea try and get one over Norwich City in Friday’s live TV match. The league leaders triumphed 1-0 as Emi Buendia’s stunning strike lifted them five points clear at the top of the Championship. It was not lost on Leeds fans that James, who played the full 90 minutes of the clash at Carrow Road, looked comfortably Swansea’s most dangerous player and the one most likely to stop the home side getting all three points. The youngster’s blistering pace on the flank led to further calls from Leeds fans to try and sign a player who could be a sensation under Marcelo Bielsa.
