OPINION
As the Yorkshire Evening Post’s impeccable correspondent Phil Hay reveals in the newspaper today (Monday), Marcelo Bielsa has a selection dilemma ahead of Wednesday’s Championship clash against Swansea at Elland Road. He must decide whether to persist with Kalvin Phillips or restore Adam Forshaw to the midfield anchorman role. Phillips was recalled against Middlesbrough at the weekend and delivered an impressive performance as well as scoring the last-gasp equaliser that ensured a share of the points. Hay points out that Forshaw would have started at the Riverside had he been fit, and Bielsa is likely to choose between them on Wednesday. Leeds fans almost universally want Phillips in the quarterback role, screening the defence and providing his excellent long and short passing range. The widespread view is that Forshaw does not have as much to offer in the anchorman role. Certainly, it is hard to argue with that. Phillips has been one of Leeds’ best players this season, and ex-Boro man Forshaw has not hit the same heights.

It shouldn't be a decision, for this position if Phillips is fit and available then Phillips plays IMO #lufc

Phillips all day long, Forshaw has been caught in possession far too often recently

For me Phillips plays CDM every game. Then you rotate Forshaw & Klich to keep them fresh. #lufc

Always Phillips. I'm amazed this is even a serious question, to be honest.

In that position it's Phillips every day of the week and twice on Sunday

Phillips won us the game at boro. Forshaw couldn’t hit a barn door. No brainer
