OPINION
Leeds United managing director Angus Kinnear has got the fans drooling after using his weekend programme notes to lay into, among others, rival Championship clubs, gobby pundits who weren’t that good in their playing days, and those who use the “dark arts of the transfer market”. The executive made clear in his boardroom view in the official merchandise for the Bolton Wanderers fixture that the club are extremely unhappy with all and sundry, while highly satisfied with their own conduct during the spy storm that has engulfed the club over the last month and which came to a close with a £200,000 fine and a rap over the knuckles last week. Misleading? Wide of the mark? Ever-so-slightly smug? You bet. Leeds fans don’t appear to give a hoot about that, as they lap up Kinnear’s comments, which were uploaded by BBC Radio Leeds journalist Adam Pope on to Twitter. For now, let’s ignore that Leeds were not actually the victims here, as Marcelo Bielsa admitted spying on opponents training sessions, even though the sanctimony of rival clubs understandably got the goat of Kinnear and the Elland Road hierarchy.

Loved the 'if the EFL want to justifiably give us point deduction, it should be for the attempted crest change'! Quality from Angus

Thanks for posting Adam, it’s a strange feeling to be so aligned with where the club are on these matters.

It's all we could do, keep counsel and be the better team. If we'd have spoken out, it would only have given the EFL an excuse.

Wow Adam what a fabulous reply from Angus with cutting sarcasm but still pretty restrained unlike many of his oppos at other clubs!! Shame that the EFL didn’t take it upon themselves to take out “good faith “ actions against those clubs making up a pack of lies!! #lufc
