OPINION
Andrea Radrizzani has been increasingly active on social media of late and delivered an upbeat reaction on his personal Twitter account late on Tuesday to Leeds United’s 1-0 defeat at QPR. It’s fair to say his message, expressing his pride in the performance of the “boys”, as well as praising the “phenomenal” visiting supporters, did not go down especially well with a significant section of supporters still dealing with the emotions of a defeat that has cast a real cloud over the club’s automatic promotion hopes. An enduring theme of the replies to the Italian owners is how the club wasted a golden opportunity to strengthen the squad in the January window, when the only senior arrival was goalkeeper Kiko Casilla. A deadline-day swoop for Swansea City winger Daniel James failed at the eleventh hour and the Whites faithful believe the club’s lack of January transfer activity is now coming back to haunt them. For that, they blame the man ultimately responsible for funding the team and setting the playing and transfer budget.

Got a hell of a lot of time for you Radz, but unacceptable that performance. January a missed opportunity now.

Bottled that tonight! Pathetic performance is an understatement. Massive improvement needed if we are going to be anywhere near the top two

I really don’t get your mentality to make your investment worthwhile then the aim is to get promoted to premiership but when we have a real chance of that the club don’t invest in squad to achieve that goal why ?

Would have a whole lot more "faith" if you have of invested in January like every other club in our position would have.
You may have actually inadvertently cost us promotion, hope you know that.

Didn't get the players we needed in Jan I'm afraid while rivals all strengthened

Should have brought a striker in in January, lack of investment is now coming back to bite us. What was already a huge game on Friday has now become even bigger, and quite honestly the squad doesn't look up to winning it. Too many players not on their A game, fatigue taking toll
