Sky Sports pundit David Prutton has predicted that Leeds United will bounce back from their loss to Stoke with a win over Rotherham this weekend.

The Whites travel to South Yorkshire to take on the Millers at the New York Stadium on Saturday as they look to recover from a 2-1 loss to the Potters last time out.

Former Leeds player Prutton has predicted they will do just that, foreseeing a 2-1 victory for Marcelo Bielsa’s side who he believes will have too much quality for the opposition.

In his predictions for Sky Sports, Prutton said: “Rotherham were drawing too many games until not too long ago, but now those draws seem to be turning into defeats, and they have slipped down to just above the relegation zone as a result.

“Leeds will see this as a great opportunity to get back to winning ways. Despite Rotherham’s excellent home form, Marcelo Bielsa’s side will have too much quality for them.”

OPINION

It is hardly surprising to see Prutton predict a win for Leeds in this one, with Rotherham struggling for form of late. The Millers currently sit in 21st place in the Championship table, hovering just two points above the relegation zone with 18 games remaining in the season. Rotherham have lost their last three games in all competitions, and will be coming into this one low on confidence against a Leeds side which will be chomping at the bit to shake off their loss to Stoke. Manager Bielsa has admitted that their performance against the Potters was quite comfortably their worst of the season, so the only way is up right now for the Whites. Goalkeeper Kiko Casilla is set to make his debut, while there will undoubtedly be a couple more changes elsewhere. Prutton has predicted a 2-1 win for Leeds, but don’t be surprised to see this one a bit less competitive than that.
