Bestikas are close to signing Georges-Kevin NKoudou on loan from Tottenham after an agreement was reached between the two clubs, according to Sporx.

The Turkish news outlet claims that the 23-year-old is set to join the Istanbul giants on a temporary basis, but Spurs have decided against an option for them to sign him permanently.

It is understood that an announcement is expected to be made soon about the deal.

Good move for Tottenham?

NKoudou may have played a vital role in Spurs earning a 2-1 win against Fulham on Sunday when he set-up Harry Winks’ last-gasp winner, but his overall contribution for the club has been poor and it is definitely a good idea to get rid of him.

Sending him out on loan might not be the best option though, especially to Turkey, as Vincent Janssen had a miserable time there last season on loan at Fenerbahce and came back well short of fitness.

NKoudou is good enough to play in the Championship, so keeping him England would definitely be a better idea.

Likely to happen?

Sporx appear to be convinced that Bestikas are going to sign NKoudou, but Spurs fans should treat this with scepticism until there are noises about the move from the UK media.

It could be happening but the deal sounds like it’s very far down the line, whereas no one in the UK has reported anything like it yet.
