OPINION

The immediate concern of Whites is that Bielsa could be about to resign as manager, although would be an extraordinary step for a manager who has taken the club to the top of the Championship and has fully restored his glittering reputation during his first season in English football. It is more likely that Bielsa is eager to address the spygate scandal that has rocked the club since their Championship win over Derby County last Friday. Legions of pundits have delivered their verdicts on the controversy, with many of them delivering unflattering ones, and the issue has refused to go away despite Leeds condemning Bielsa. The Football League have opened an investigation into Bielsa instructing one of Leeds’ employees to monitor Derby’s training session 24 hours before last Friday’s convincing 2-0 triumph. Could the manager be ready to express his regret to an even greater extent than he did last week? Or, will he go on the attack and claim those ripping him and his club to shreds are overstating it?
