Leeds United are set to release a quartet of young players within the coming weeks, according to the Yorkshire Post.

The newspaper claims that centre-forwards Moses Abioye and Moise Kroma, defender Matthew Keogh and midfielder Romario Vieira will all be released by Leeds at the end next month.

It is understood that Under-23s players Kamil Miazek and Clarke Oduor have been offered new deals and have avoided the upcoming exodus.

Good move for Leeds?

It’s a bit of a shock to see Kroma and Vieira being told that they are not having their deals renewed as the pair have a lot of potential. Kroma has been linked with Burnley in the past while Vieira was reported to at one stage be knocking on the door of the first team.

Leeds’ Under-23s side had a lot of success last season after Victor Orta put a lot of time and effort into adding more of a continental feel to the squad.

It seems that may continue again this summer with this quartet set to leave the club.

Likely to happen?

As young players are usually always on short-term deals, it’s fair to say that the four youngsters will all be leaving at the end of their contracts at the end of next month.

Unless the club has a change of heart then it’s definitely likely to see them leave while Miazek and Oduor could yet reject their new contract offers and join Abioye, Kroma, Keogh and Vieira in leaving Elland Road.

It seems as though it’s just a matter of when and not if these players will be leaving the club.
