Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers must make two changes to his team if he is to field his best possible line-up against Motherwell in the Scottish Cup final at Hampden Park on Sunday.

Senior duo Callum McGregor and Moussa Dembele must both be axed for the final with Patrick Roberts and Odsonne Edouard returning to the first 11.

Scott Bain must keep his place in goals despite Craig Gordon being expected to return to the side after recovering from injury.

The back four should remain unchanged with Mikael Lustig, Dedryck Boyata, Kristoffer Ajer and Kieran Tierney all good enough to earn the Bhoys a clean sheet against Stephen Robinson’s side.

Scott Brown and Olivier Ntcham should start in the deeper-lying midfield positions with Tom Rogic ahead of them in the No 10 position.

James Forrest must stay out on the right with loanee Patrick Roberts, who according to Spotrac earns £25,000-a-wk in his deal at Manchester City, starting on the opposite flank.

It will be Roberts’ last chance to play for Celtic before he returns to Man City and Rodgers must ensure he goes out on a bang by playing a major role in wrapping up a domestic treble for the second year in a row.

Edouard should start over Dembele up front on Saturday afternoon as the on-loan Paris Saint-Germain forward has shown that he can rise to the occasion in bigger games on a more common basis this season.
