Rangers fell to an embarrassing 5-0 Old Firm defeat as Celtic ran riot at Parkhead to win a seventh-straight Premiership title, and there was just one good display from a player in blue.

The Light Blues were under the cosh from the opening whistle as Celtic settled into an early rhythm, and the Hoops opened the scoring after just 13 minutes with Odsonne Edouard turning home Kieran Tierney’s cross.

The on-loan striker then doubled their lead on 40 minutes with a strong run at Russell Martin before lashing a low shot into the far corner.

James Forrest then scored his first Old Firm goal with a dazzling run of his own, skipping past three weak challenges to crash home and make it 3-0 at the break.

Tom Rogic then got in on the act as he calmly slotted home with no goalkeeper present after Jak Alnwick had saved Callum McGregor’s initial effort.

McGregor got his goal next as Edouard ran at James Tavernier and got to the byline before sending in a pinpoint low cross for the midfielder to turn home.

It was another embarrassing defeat for Graeme Murty and Rangers, who face a battle to end the season in second and secure European football for next campaign.
