Leeds United fans on social media destroyed Pablo Hernandez for his performance against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.
Whites supporters believed that the 32-year-old, who is a regular member of the first-team, was absolutely woeful against the Owls, with one fan believing it was the worst he had played all season.
Hernandez was making his 36th appearance of the season on Saturday, but was unable to add to his tally of seven goals or eight assists in that game.
Leeds ended up losing 2-1 to Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, and fans were quick to blame Hernandez for their failure to win even though he got the assist for their goal.
One supporter tweeted that the 32-year-old was having a shocker, while another simply questioned what had happened to him.
Hernandez’s current Leeds contract is set to expire in the summer and one fan despite believing he was very poor against the Owls, wanted the club to hand him a new deal.
The 32-year-old joined the Whites on a permanent basis in January 2017 after moving from Al Arabi, but the veteran was on loan at Elland Road ahead of making the move permanent.
The loss to the Owls on Saturday, left Leeds on 50 points after 38 games played.
This is Futbol have rounded up some of the best tweets by Leeds fans about Hernandez’s performance against Sheffield Wednesday:
Hernandez been very poor, does this a lot but usually manages to create and score a goal which makes people forget about the numerous mistakes he makes. Although I’d still give him a contract over some other players #LUFC
