Leeds United are now on the search for a new full-time manager after the dismissal of Thomas Christiansen – and the club’s supporters believe that Nigel Pearson could be a great successor.
The Whites confirmed on Monday night that the 44-year-old has been sacked after only eight months in charge at Elland Road.
His last game in charge turned out to be a 4-1 defeat against Cardiff on Saturday and he leaves the Yorkshire giants seven points adrift of the play-off positions.
Christiansen has been a popular figure early into his Leeds reign after a fabulous start and his side looked real promotion candidates, but they are without a Championship victory in 2018.
The Whites are now looking for a seventh manager since 2014 and fans on social media have suggested Pearson could be the perfect replacement for Christiansen.
Pearson is currently in charge of Belgian second-tier club OH Leuven, but fans would love to see him return to the Championship.
The 54-year-old English manager has a great track record in the Championship and helped Leicester win the title and promotion to the Premier League in the 2013/14 season.
He has also previously managed at Derby County, Hull City and Southampton and Leeds fans feel his no-nonsense approach could work well at Elland Road.

As much as I can't stand the guy I think Leeds need someone like Nigel Pearson to deal with the current mess on the field. #lufc
