Leeds United host Cardiff City on Saturday in the Championship and their manager Neil Warnock has praised attacker Kemar Roofe ahead of the game.

Warnock has highlighted the attacking threat of the Whites before the league clash at Elland Road, with 25-year-old Roofe getting a special mention.

The Whites host the Welsh club in a vital match and are still without a league win during 2018, which has seen them slip four points outside of the play-off positions.

Meanwhile, Cardiff have just one win in their last six league games, but are still fourth in the table as they eye a return to the Premier League.

Warnock has praised his side’s upcoming opponents ahead of the weekend and feels that Leeds will be a difficult obstacle to overcome.

“They’re a good passing side, how they lost the game against Millwall I don’t know,” Warnock said in his pre-match press conference, as quoted by Wales Online on their Cardiff news blog (10:49am).

“They have some really good players. Roofe, the two wide lads, their really good so we’re going to have to be on our game. The atmosphere is so good I think.”

OPINION

Leeds desperately need maximum points from their clash against Cardiff as the gap to the top six is beginning to stretch. Goalkeeper Felix Wiedwald starred in midweek during a goalless draw against Hull City and the attackers need to try fire on all cylinders against Warnock’s side. Roofe was one of the attackers given a special mention following his form this campaign and has been a mainstay in the starting XI. The versatile ace, who can play on the wing or as a centre-forward, has been a key first teamer this season. He has made 29 appearances across all competitions, scoring 11 goals and supplying four assists in return.
