Leeds United still need to add a new centre-forward to their ranks in the January window to boost their promotion hopes and should turn their attention to in-form ace Charlie Wyke from League One club Bradford City.

Sky Sports journalist Keith Downie has reported on his personal Twitter account that there are up to seven Championship clubs looking at the Bradford striker.

It is understood that the 25-year-old is valued at £1million and is in high demand during the January transfer window.

Leeds must jump to the front of the queue for the Englishman that has been ripping up his division so far this season.

The Whites need to add some extra firepower to boost a promotion bid and should consider £1million a bargain fee for a proven goalscorer.

Wyke has been great touch this campaign for Bradford as they chase promotion from League One and they currently sit in a play-off spot.

The striker has made 27 appearances across all competitions this season, scoring 12 goals and supplying seven assists in return.

He can hold the ball up well and showed that he can be clinical in front of goal in the final third.

Wyke has proven that he is good enough to take the next step up the footballing ladder and Leeds should take the £1million punt on his signature.

He made a seamless transition to League One football when he joined Bradford 12 months ago and there is a chance he could make a similar impact at Elland Road.

Thomas Christiansen has seen summer signings Pierre-Michel Lasogga, Jay-Roy Grot and Caleb Ekuban struggle to make the desired impact at the club, which is why Leeds need to find an alternative option in the remainder of the window.
