Pierre-Michel Lasogga played 45 minutes in the 0-0 draw against Nottingham Forest on Monday – and the Leeds United fans on Twitter were furious with his performance.

The 26-year-old striker replaced Ezgjan Alioski at half-time in the Championship encounter and was unable to provide the spark needed in front of goal.

He did miss a big opportunity late on in the game as his header at the back post went across goal, but he was unable to direct it properly and the game ended goalless.

Leeds remain fifth in the Championship table after a point, but are looking nervously over their shoulders in the race for the play-offs.

Thomas Christiansen’s side were unable to get past a Forest team that were without a full-time manager following the dismissal of Mark Warburton

Lasogga has seen himself slip down the pecking order in recent games and is behind teammate Kemar Roofe in the battle for the central forward position.

The German got the opportunity to spearhead the attack in the second-half and his side were unable to break down a resilient Forest defence.

He has scored five goals since his summer arrival at Elland Road, but the powerful striker has now not netted since the end of October.
