Jacob Murphy completed 82 minutes in the win over Stoke on Monday – and the Newcastle United fans on Twitter gave contrasting opinions on his performance.
The Magpies recorded a narrow 1-0 away victory at the bet365 Stadium as Ayoze Perez netted the winning goal in the second-half.
Rafael Benitez’s side are now two points clear of the drop zone and have four points from their last two matches in the league.
Perez scored the decisive goal in the 73rd minute as he neatly finished a cross from teammate Murphy.
The North East club edged the match and managed to get the three points they deserved.
Newcastle fans on social media reacted on social media to Murphy’s display in fascinating fashion as some feel his match winning contribution highlighted his quality, while others are still not convinced by him.
The 22-year-old winger is still trying to cement his place in the side following his summer moved to St James’ Park and does have a £12million transfer fee looming over him.

Murphy has been in and out of the side so far this season, but managed to make an influence on the game against Stoke with his opportunity to start.
The English winger has now made 17 appearances for Newcastle this season and finally chipped in with his first assist, while he is still awaiting a first goal.
The fleet-footed wide man was prolific in the Championship last season for Norwich with nine goals and will be desperate to recreate that form in the Premier League.
