Leeds United were the victim of a cup upset when they faced Newport County in the FA Cup on Sunday.

The Whites slipped to a 2-1 defeat courtesy of their League Two opposition, and could have no real complaints by the end of the game.

Leeds even ended up with only 10-men on the pitch after Samuel Saiz was given a red card for an off the ball incident.

Thomas Christiansen was always going to learn a lot about his squad in this FA Cup tie as he rang in the changes.

The manager made nine changes and switched to a 4-4-2 formation in order to give fringe players an opportunity.

However, the Leeds manager was probably still expecting his side to make it through to the fourth round of the competition.
