David Prutton has backed Leeds United to secure a narrow 1-0 win when the Whites host Millwall on Saturday.

In his EFL predictions for Sky Sports, the pundit revealed that despite suffering poor results recently, Leeds should be able to beat a Millwall side who are yet to win on the road this season.

“It looks like Leeds are having another dip,” shared Prutton.

“It’s been the story of their season so far, they keep getting a few good results in a row to get themselves into the top six then a few bad ones to drop right out of it.”

“Millwall, however, are still the only side in the Championship without an away win all season, so Saturday represents a great opportunity for Leeds to get back to winning ways, although I can’t imagine it will be pretty.”

If the Whites beat Millwall, it will be their first win in five games across all competitions.

Leeds’ recent form has seen them drop out of the play-off positions due to goal difference, to sit seventh.

When Millwall hosted Leeds in September, The Lions achieved a 1-0 victory thanks to an Aiden O’Brien goal.

In fact, Prutton’s prediction of a Leeds win, would see the two clubs continue their recent record of alternating wins.

Neither side has been able to beat each other twice in a row, since Leeds United won both league clashes during the 2011/12 season.

OPINION

Leeds’ recent poor form, including their surprising FA Cup defeat to Newport, has been a disappointment. The Whites have a side more than capable of pushing for a play-off place, and after finally getting in the top six, dropped the ball. Leeds fans aren’t too disappointed at the moment, as they have had positive transfer news handed to them during this time. The arrival of Adam Forshaw and Laurens De Bock have been particularly welcomed by the fans. However, Thomas Christiansen knows that no matter the positivity happening off the field, he has to deliver results on it. The Leeds boss looks like having a great chance of getting three points against Millwall, given their away record, but in the Championship anything can happen.
