Former Leeds United and Rotherham manager Neil Redfearn has been named new head coach of Women’s Super League 2 side Doncaster Rovers Belles – and Leeds fans have reacted with delight on Twitter.
Doncaster Belles announced that they have hired Redfearn, 52, on their official Twitter account on Friday afternoon, bringing to an end an absence of almost two years from management.

Redfearn has certainly done the rounds at Yorkshire clubs in his management career.
He has had three spells as caretaker manager at Elland Road before getting the job permanently in 2014, only to be shown the door by erratic former owner Massimo Cellino.
The ex-Barnsley player, who made more than 1,000 appearances in a 24-year playing career, was then hired by Rotherham in 2015, where he only lasted four months.
It has been more plain sailing this season for his latest Yorkshire outfit Doncaster Belles, who are currently top of the FAWSL 2 table and are unbeaten in their first six games of the season.
Leeds fans are delighted that their former manager has returned to coaching, albeit in a rather left-field move.
