Bailey Peacock-Farrell has ended his loan spell at York City to return to Leeds United – and fans have taken to Twitter to welcome him back to Elland Road.
Some United supporters called for the goalkeeper, 21, to be fast-tracked into the first team due to the struggles of Felix Wiedwald and Andy Lonergan.
Others claimed that Peacock-Farrell has much to learn and his spell at York proved that he is not ready to be the Leeds No1.
York manager Martin Gray revealed at a media conference, as quoted by the club’s official Twitter account, that Peacock-Farrell has headed back to Elland Road following the expiry of his loan deal and that the non-league outfit had completed the signing of Adam Bartlett.
The 31-year-old stopper, a former Newcastle United trainee, has signed a contract until summer 2019 and will go straight into the Minstermen squad for Saturday’s National North clash at Alfreton Town.

Elland Road academy product Peacock-Farrell joined York in order to get regular game time at senior level.
Peacock-Farrell made his fourth and final appearance for York last Saturday as the Minstermen recorded a 2-1 success at home to Curzon Ashton.
There have been calls from supporters for the 21-year-old to answer Leeds’ keeping crisis due to the mixed form of Lonergan and Wiedwald but not all of the club’s fans are convinced.

Bailey Barrell-Peecock goes to York, doesn’t do well, gets replaced by some nobody, gets sent back to #lufc and people want him straight in the side

Went to a York game and every time they conceded it was ‘Peacock-Farrell’s fault’, I’m glad he’s coming back what a tinpot club

Before everyone starts calling for BPF to start ???? #lufc https://t.co/Sf29jikCCP

I would have Denton involved from time to time, he is our only left back, BPF can’t be any worse than the 2 keepers so can be around the squad and Wilks can come in for Grot, keep hold of Ronny V and Phillips and build a team based on home grown players for a couple of years
