Leeds United fans took to Twitter to destroy Liam Cooper for his first-half performance against Wolves on Wednesday night.
Wolves dead ball specialist Barry Douglas put the Championship leaders ahead at Molineux with a stunning free-kick that beat Andy Lonergan all ends up.
The former Wolves goalkeeper got an outstretched arm to the ball after 26 minutes but was beaten by the sheer ferocity of Ivan Cavaleiro’s left-foot shot for the second goal.
It left Leeds with a mountain to climb in the second period as they aimed to secure a league win at the home of the Black Country outfit for the third consecutive campaign.
United fans laid the blame not only at Lonergan for the two goals, but also at the defence for exposing him so easily.
Many Leeds supporters took to Twitter to criticise skipper Cooper, who gave away the free-kick that led to the opening goal from Douglas.

Showed some fight at the end of the half … Beradi and Cooper poor again. Could also do with a new keeper #lufc

Seems like a nice guy, gives his all but Cooper isn’t up for it. A top keeper saves their second goal. #LUFC

Lonergan berardi and Cooper not good enough to challenge near top and that’s just the defence. Proper investment needed in playing squad or it’s a 15th finish #lufc

This team is miles away. Totally unbalanced squad full of average players. Cooper, Roofe, Berardi are not good enough to be starting squad players at best and two goal keepers that are terrible. Long season ahead. #lufc

@andrearadri Again no natural LB, 2nd hand keeper and Cooper. Enough said. Think of the people we had in those positions last year. #lufc
